I don't usually buy women's sizes in print tees, as the fabric is generally flimsy and the sleeves are shorter and the Hey Breasts Look These Are Important babydoll cuts are too snug around the bust. When I ordered this tee here from Threadless, therefore, I went my usual route and ordered a size lower in the men's.

The problem here, as I discovered today, is that Threadless tees are made of very thin and very shapeless cotton - almost a lycra, but with absolutely none of the cling. The tees are cut rather large to boot, so as a result, I'm - well, not quite swimming in mine, but close to it. I've read online that this material shrinks quite readily in the dryer, but that will probably crack the (sizable) printed image. Wearing a bra with excellent support helps, keeping the shirt gathered at the waist instead of pulled down helps, but the material's cheapness and tendency to slump and cuts a bit of a sloppy figure; whatever form the shirt has has to be given by you.

The upshoot of this: when shopping Threadless, go a size smaller than your usual. It's a lovely, smart print that I'm glad to own, but I wish a bit more effort had been put into fabric quality.
