And it happened again.
Jan. 31st, 2014 07:41 pmKamaitachi no Yoru, the early horror visual novel released in the Super Famicom era, has gotten a translation from Aksys Games under the title Banshee's Last Cry. (I guess Night of the Sickle-Weasels didn't test well in marketing.) The catch? Like Blackbar, to which I linked earlier, it's available only for smartphones.
You know, I understand this case a bit better, since at least Kamaitachi doesn't require the use of a keyboard. Is it really that hard, though, to whip up a version for Steam or something? Is piracy a bigger issue with PC releases? Or are the smartphone gravy train and the overlap between markets so big that a standalone PC release didn't even need to be taken into consideration?
